About me
Ren is an organizer, educator, and poet based in Tucson AZ. They’re Co-Director at BorderLinks: a movement org engaging popular education to move people into action & build strong strategic movements for migrant justice. Ren co-founded a scholarship for undocumented students, a deportation defense network, and a drag troupe in semi-rural az. From the borderlands, they have roots in international struggles for liberation in Tucson, NYC, Guatemala, México, and Maasailand, Kenya. Scholar in social movement studies, social justice and human rights, global border militarization. Ren’s poetry follows themes of trans liberation, recovery from addiction, madness, multiracial movement building, and queerness. As an anti-zionist jew, Ren is especially interested in places ritual and art intersect in our movement spaces.
