About me
Sarah T. Hamid is Director of Strategic Campaigns at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. She brings over a decade of experience as a community organizer working at the intersection of technology, warfare, and punishment-based criminal and border systems. In 2018, she co-founded the Carceral Tech Resistance Network, a knowledge-sharing network that at its height connected more than 75 grassroots organizations across the Midwest, Southwest, and West Coast working to resist the design, testing, and deployment of harmful technologies. At EFF, Sarah supports strategic campaigns across domestic and international contexts, building coordinated action infrastructure and expanding the remedies available to lawmakers and frontline communities to dismantle networked state surveillance.
