About me
Luna Ramos (they/she) is a queer Afro-Cuban educator and writer based in Los Angeles. Though they identify as an anarchist, they strongly advocate for the need of diverse politics, beliefs, and strategies to spur radical systemic change. Their work in Cuban solidarity taught them that intersectionality is the core of any substantial movement, as that is a guiding tenet of post-Revolutionary Cuban culture. Black and Indigenous liberation, decolonization, international solidarity, environmental justice, and education justice are a few intersecting points where their activism truly lies. The spirit of their work as a writer is the concept of re-Indigenization, which focuses on rediscovering the forcibly stripped parts of colonized people, their ancestors, and their cultures. They believe that this process of remembering is sacred and powerful, and that it leads to political and spiritual metamorphosis.
