About me
Gonzalo Gómez is a Venezuelan socialist activist and writer who played a key role in the regroupment of Trotskyism in Venezuela and provided critical support to the Bolivarian Revolution during the Chavez era. He is a cofounder of both Aporrea and Marea Socialista, a current that participated in the creation of the PSUV, where he was elected to the regional leadership in Caracas. He broke with the Maduro government in 2014 and continued with Marea Socialista as a left wing critic of that government, just as he is today of the government led by Delcy Rodriguez. He is an active member of the International Socialist League.
