About me
Fawn E. Pochel (they/she), a gender-queer urban Native, works closely with communities across Chicago to incorporate land-based pedagogies and Indigenous worldview into curricula and policy while working towards dismantling systems of white supremacy. Their father, a member of the Key First Nation, survived both the Canadian Day School system and the Sixties Scoop. With over a decade of community organizing and advocacy experience, Fawn is co-founder and manager of the First Nations Garden and a proud Auntie.
