About me
Dr. Sydney Curtis is a Black feminist scholar, educator, and leader. She contributes relational, spiritual, and Black feminist perspectives in postsecondary education, the nonprofit sector, and community-based organizations by leading programs, publishing critical scholarship, and teaching. She is committed to applying her skills and privilege to support the interrelated movements for Reproductive Justice, Environmental Justice, and equity in education. She formerly served as the inaugural Training Institute Director at the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice. Dr. Curtis earned her Ph.D and M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago and a B.S. in Athletic Training from Texas State University.
