About me
David Duhalde is a lifelong democratic socialist organizer who has held positions in both the Democratic Socialist of America and its sister nonprofit the DSA Fund at the staff and volunteer leadership levels. He is an author on numerous topics including DSA history, which have appeared in Dissent, Jacobin, In These Times, Democratic Left, Convergence, Socialist Forum and more. His major publication was “The Long Reroute,” a historical comparison of the Debsian Socialist Party and new the DSA on the subjects of labor action, electoral strategy, and factionalism published by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung NYC office. Duhalde has worked in both labor and electoral action and is a public advocate of merging socialist strategies in unions and politics to primarily advance working-class demands and defeat the right. He is currently a full-time trade unionist with his New York City-based public sector labor union.
