About me
Andrew Krinks is a writer, educator, organizer, and movement builder working at the intersections of religion, racial capitalism, criminalization, abolition, and housing justice in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the author of White Property, Black Trespass: Racial Capitalism and the Religious Function of Mass Criminalization (2024), along with numerous essays and book chapters on religion and abolition. He is currently working on a book manuscript on political spiritualities in abolitionist and revolutionary land defense movements. He has taught university and seminary courses on religion, theology, carcerality, and abolition, and has conducted participatory action research on the impacts of prisons and policing. In continuity with his writing and teaching, he organizes and educates with others in Nashville and beyond for housing justice and community safety beyond police, prisons, and surveillance.
