What happens when we cannot wait for institutions to care for us? Across the world, people are building free clinics, harm reduction projects, childcare networks, food distribution programs, and street health teams outside the boundaries of formal institutions—creating the things that people need to struggle and stay alive. This panel brings together organizers involved in three US based autonomous survival programs to discuss what they’ve learned about building and sustaining creative and durable infrastructures of care, and why even the smallest experiments matter in a time of deepening crisis.
