While religion makes leftists squirm and liberals fetishize nonviolence, those at the center of liberatory armed struggles and insurrection attempts in the U.S. have often been deeply religious people. Their religiosity, however, is usually disparaged or ignored. This introductory-level popular education session brings this forgotten history into focus and explores what’s at stake.
